摘要
Acute Kidney Injury in pediatric populations (pAKI) results in significant morbidity and mortality in developing countries. Point of care (POC) devices providing the required diagnostic accuracy to diagnose AKI and may increase diagnosis and reducing mortality. A low-cost POC device, the salivary urea nitrogen (SUN) dipsticks could aid to alleviate the high burden on public health in resource-limited countries and has previously been shown to accurately detect AKI in adults, but its performance in children with impaired renal function is unknown.
