Abstract
Activation cross sections of the alpha-particle-induced reactions on nat Cr were measured. A stacked foil activation technique and gamma-ray spectrometry were used. Nickel-chromium alloy, nickel and titanium metallic foils were stacked as a target. The target was irradiated with a 51.2-MeV alpha-particle beam at the AVF cyclotron, RIKEN. The gamma rays were measured for the irradiated foils using an HPGe detector. Production cross sections of 52g Fe, 52g,54 Mn, 48,51 Cr and 48 V radionuclides were determined. The cross sections determined in this experiment were compared with the literature data and found to be consistent with them.
