Abstract
In the evaluation of infertility hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is an important investigatory procedure to assess tubal patency intrauterine lesions such as endometrial polyps small submucous myoma uterine synaechiae and septate uteri. However patients anxiety levels and perception of hysterosalpingogram need to be assessed to improve patients preparedness for the procedure. The study was conducted by means of a self-administered pretested questionnaire. One-hundred-and-sixty (160) consecutive patients attending central radiology clinic in Enugu (Hansa clinic) for HSG were recruited into the study. One-hundred-and-forty-nine completed and returned their questionnaire satisfactorily. These were analysed. (excerpt)
