摘要
The present paper describes a method for the dosimetry of mixed proton and neutron radiation, with the help of a solid state track detector. Data have been obtained on the distributions of the emission angles of fragments and on the total cross sections for the fission of 238SU, 237Np, 232Th and 209Bi nuclei under bombardment by protons with energies between 70 and 200 MeV. We present the results of a study on the characteristics of detectors consisting of a dielectric in contact with a heavy metal target. The range of sensitivity to the dose equivalent of the mixed proton and neutron radiation has been determined. We also present the results of the clinical dosimetry of the medical proton beam from the ITEP synchrotron. These results were obtained using uranium and bismuth detectors.
