The field of child neurology has grown tremendously in the past 50 years, and the ability to treat or modify what was once incurable, fatal neurologic diseases is truly astounding. Nevertheless, access to these advances has been limited to high-income nations. Most children affected by pediatric neurologic disease live in low- or middle-income countries (LMICs)(1) where access to pediatric neurologists and treatments is far more limited because of a complex set of problems that involve resources, systems, providers, and patients and their communities.(2)
