Abstract
Notice of Retraction After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE's Publication Principles. We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper. The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org. A new and highly efficient method has been developed for disposing unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) wastewater using activated carbon fiber(ACF) based on adsorption technology. Some influencing factors such as adsorption time, temperature and initial concentration of UDMH has been investigated. Results show that the adsorption isotherm is in accord with Freundlich's adsorption formula, and the adsorption isotherm equation is (Qe=0.0766Ce1.5542. The adsorption capacity of ACF is in the range of 0.11g/g~0.37g/g. UV-vis spectrophotometry experiment implies that the wastewater disposed by ACF hasn't other toxic compounds such as N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), dimethylamine (DMA), tetramethyl-tetrazene and formaldehyde which are mutagenic and suspected carcinogenic compounds and also do harm to our health and environment like UDMH.Conclusion is that ACF can better be applied to the disposal of UDMH wastewater.
