Varying fractions of PUFAs, implying different membrane fluidity, interfered with disturbance of synaptic transmission during hyperbaric exposure. In other words, the higher the ratio of PUFAs/SFAs to the brain cell membrane, the stronger the ability for animals to antagonize the pressure effect.
