Abstract
In order to reduce the operational cost and completely eliminate Fe2+ ion in the original acid-cleaning fluid for the wastewater treatment process of steel factories, a modified process of two-stage counteract/aeration oxidation is applied. Our results indicate that the effluent quality is better to the first class criteria specified in Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard (GB 8978-1996). Furthermore, all of the effluent can be used as ground washing water.
