Leakage monitoring method of natural gas pipeline based on inside-listening

For the leakage acoustic wave identification problem of the natural gas pipeline, the generation mechanism of the leakage acoustic wave was studied. The platform was constructed in terms of inspecting inside-pipeline leakage acoustic wave, and the experiments were implemented. The collected data were analyzed using MATLAB, and the attenuation character and frequency character of the leakage acoustic wave were determined. The experimental results show that the effective detection distance of pipeline leakage can be enhanced when the inside-pipeline low-frequency acoustic wave detection method is introduced to the gas pipeline leak detection. The use of software filtering method can improve the SNR of detection signals. It is a feasible scheme to apply the acoustic wave method to the natural gas pipeline leakage detection. The experimental data provide a reliable leakage-monitoring basis for the pipeline leakage detection field.
