Numerical simulation of the flow field in aixial rotating hydrocyclone

Abstract
The hydrocyclone is rotating around the axis of itself, as it is used with screw pump in downhole water-oil separation process, the hydrocyclone rotates with the rotor of screw pump. Based on this problem, the axial rotating hydrocyclone is studied by numerical simulation in this paper to obtain the fluid field distribution. Respectively, the impact of the direction of rotation and rotation speed of the wall on the distribution of tangential velocity, axial velocity, radial velocity are analyzed. The results show that under the condition of the rotation in the wall, each component of the velocity constraints each other, and the rotation of wall give the more momentum increment in the external vortex area.
