Abstract
With the popularization of industrial automation, the efficiency requirement of manual work has been increased significantly. Motion analysis is a very good method to improve operational efficiency. However, because of its fixed observation equipment and narrow scope of view, the motion situation can't be recorded comprehensively and accurately. This paper presents an automatic identification tracking system based on machine vision which is applied to motion analysis of industrial field. By controlling the rotation of steering head, the operator could be tracked automatically and real-time tracking records of operator can be achieved. The system adopts the target recognition algorithm based on symmetric difference and tracking algorithm based on centroid-tracking. In the laboratory, we designed and finally achieved the prototype system based on Mathematica, as software development platform and Arduino, as hardware development platform.
