Calculation method for permanent deformation of ship structures subjected to underwater explosion

Abstract
To predict the permanent deformation of ship's combined plates subjected to underwater explosions is the basis of ship structure anti-explosions. An energy method is used in this paper to consider the influence of fluid-solid interaction on absorbing energy of ship structures. The ship structures are classified according to the relative strengths of the panel and the stiffening ribs, thus, the categorization of ship structures and the absorbed energies by the panel and ribs are obtained. Finally, the calculation method for permanent deformation is constructed for local ship's combined stiffened plates. The relative errors between calculation and experiment results are less than 10%, and it indicates that the method satisfies the application requirements in engineering.
