Abstract
In order to reduce the complexity of the high-voltage disconnecting switch operating mechanism, the permanent magnet brushless DC motor is designed according to the characteristics requirement of disconnecting switch. Considering that large torque need to be provided during the operation of disconnecting switch as well as the limitation of degree under low rotation speed, the structure of stator and rotor of permanent magnet motor is designed and the selection principle of the main parameter of motor is discussed. The dynamic mathematical model of motor is developed, based on which the transient fields and dynamic behavior is carried out by using the finite element method. The rationality of the design of motor is verified, on the other hand, the characteristic curves of main parameters during operation is calculated. The results indicate that the mechanical characteristic of motor operating mechanism can meet the requirement of the operation of disconnecting switch, thus can provide a base for the design of high-voltage switch motor operating mechanism.
