A simple modeling method of simulated moving bed process

Abstract
The approximate model of simulated moving bed(SMB) was proposed through reasonable assumptions based on the balance diffusion model firstly. Then the linear discrete time model of the steady state SMB was obtained through selecting state variables. Finally the validity of the simple modeling method was confirmed through simulations. These are helpful to the model based controller design.
