Study on phase angle of blood pump control system driven by large gap magnetic field

Taking the extracorporeal magnetic driving of axial flow blood pump as research background, the phase angle of the blood pump control system driven by a large gap traveling wave magnetic field was studied. The magnetic field coupling mechanism between magnetic poles of electromagnet and the permanent magnet was studied by establishing the electromagnetic simulation model of a large gap magnetic drive system. The magnetic torque for four kinds of magnetic pole states when the angular displacement of the permanent magnet ranging from 0 degrees to 360 degrees was calculated. Then the best phase angle of each pole which could output the largest magnetic torque was determined and the corresponding software control program was finally compiled. Experimental results show that the compiled software has larger driving ability compared to the other control system, as well as verifying the simulation results and providing an evidence for improving the energy transfer efficiency and optimizing the control strategy of the large gap magnetic transmission system.
