南洋楹(Paraserianthes falcataria(L.)Nielsen)是含羞草科(Mimosaceae)南洋楹属常绿乔木树种,原产马来西亚的马六甲和印度尼西亚的马鲁古群岛,是世界上著名的热带速生树种之一[1].该树生长迅速、经营周期短,用材林的主伐年龄为8～10a,纸浆林6～7 a就可砍伐利用(国家林业行业标准<南洋楹速生丰产用材林栽培技术规程>待颁布);材质优良,是制浆造纸、人造板(胶合板、刨花板、纤维板等)、火柴梗、室内装修的优良原料;该树具有较好的固氮能力,能改良土壤、提高地力.
