The contrastive investigation on perforation capability of a model warhead perforating monolithic and layered targets

Aimed at the thick target used in developing conventional warhead, numerical simulations on a model warhead perforating multi-layered and monolithic targets of equal thickness were conducted to study the perforation destructive pattern and the influence of different targets on perforation capability of warhead on the basis of literature information. And the different effect of monolithic and multi-layered targets on warhead during its perforating were discussed. The attentive matters which substitute multi-layered targets for monolithic of equal thickness during perforation experimentation in developing warhead were put forward.
