Differentiated reliability based fault tolerant multipath routing model for wireless sensor networks

Reliability differentiated service without prior paths setup in wireless sensor networks is analyzed. A nonconvex nonlinear programming (NLP) model for them is shown, which is equivalent to solving an n-variables (n-1) th-order cross term equation. However, according to the famous Abel insolvability theorem, it has no analytic solutions if n > 5. Fortunately the object function of NLP is strictly decreasing in feasible field, based on which we design a heuristic algorithm to produce a suboptimal solution. Simulations show that proposed algorithm can search numerical solutions faster than available, and reduce overhead under the same processor energy consumption.
