Abstract
Voltage-controlled memcapacitor has the property of variable capacitance to voltage added on, that leads to nonlinear dynamic response. A three-order passive circuit with a voltage-controlled memcapacitor is proposed in this paper to generate chaotic oscillation. When configured with proper parameters and initial conditions, strange attractors can be observed. Lyapunov exponent analysis, along with continuous frequency distribution, conditions sensitive characteristic were provided through simulation, shows the existence of chaos in this simple circuit. © 2010 IEEE.
