Robust fault-tolerant control for a class of spacecraft rendezvous system: Actuator fault case

In this study, a robust fault-tolerant control (FTC) scheme is proposed for a class of spacecraft rendezvous system under the case of partial loss of actuator effectiveness. On the basis of the nominal model for spacecraft rendezvous, a spacecraft rendezvous faulty system with parameter uncertainty is presented, in which each actuator-possible fault is described by a variable varying in a given interval. The designed passive fault-tolerant controller such that the resulting closed-loop system is asymptotically stable with a given disturbance attenuation level 7. The main result is characterized by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) that can be easily solved by using standard software packages. Simulation results are given to illustrate the feasibility of the developed approach. ICIC International © 2010.
