Game theory analysis of public report in environment protection

By introducing the "Likely Prison Dilemma" and using the Game theory, we analyze the public's options under different assumptions and show the main factors that affect the willingness of the public reporting of the firm's exceeding emission of pollution .We conclude that the government can raise the willingness of public reporting by both cutting short the cost of reporting and improving the possibility and the amount of the government's punishing on pollution-generating firm. 1548-7741/ Copyright © 2009 Binary Information Press.
