Experimental design of 6He(p, γ)7Li reaction and beam preparation

Abstract
The 6He secondary beams with the energy of 26, 32 and 38 MeV were produced via the 2H (7Li, 6He) 3He reaction on the secondary beam facility at the HI-13 tandem accelerator, Beijing. The intensity of the collimated 6He beam with a purity of 99% is about 900 s-1. The angular distribution of 2H (6He, 7Li) n reaction can be measured using this secondary 6He beam in inverse kinematics, and the astrophysical S-factor and rate of the 6He(p, γ)7Li reaction can be derived.
