Application of environment sampling instrument of geoprobe 54DT in water resource and environment

Geoprobe 54DT play as a main instrument in environment sampling of deep vadose zone. The main structure and working principle of the instrument were introduced. Furthermore, three case studies on its application were presented from the following aspects: groundwater recharge from precipitation, obtaining the lithology of deep vadose zone, and the potential groundwater pollution from the leaching of Nitrate nitrogen in the field. Contrasted to traditional ways of soil sampling, the sampling by the instrument is high efficient, economic and credible, especially used in continuous and a great deal of soil samples in the field.
