Analysis of efficacy and safety of itraconazloe in treating patients with invasive fugal infection in ICU

[Objective]: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of itraconazloe in treating the invasive fugal infection(IFI) in ICU. [Methods]: To reviewed retrospectively the clinical data of 37 patients with the invasive fugal infection in ICU of our hospital. The patients were given itraconazole injection by intravenous infusion, d 1-2.200 mg/ d, bid; hereafter 200 mg/d; or/and, simultaneously with observation of clinical efficacy, safty, drug administration time and prognosis, adverse reactions. [Results]: The total clinical efficacy rate was 78.38% (29/37). The clinical efficacy rates were 83.33% (20/ 24) among the patients with the infection of Blastomyces albicans. 63.64% (7/11) among the patients with the infection of Candida. glabrata. 50% (2/4) among the patients with the infection of Candida tropicalis. The clinical efficacy rates were the 75% (3/4) among the patients of the definite patients. 80% (24/30) among the probable patients. 66.67% (2/3) among the possible patients. [Conclusion]: Itraconazole injection and oral solution show impressive curing activity on IFI in ICU with safety. But must carefully monitor.
