Adaptive rolling model of plate rolling without gauge-meter

Abstract
As on most of Chinese plate mills there is no gauge meter, an adaptive rolling model was developed for them. Natural logarithmic method was used to determine plate thickness rangs, and in each range, in sequence of rolling time from the last piece, the regressive deformation resistance parameters of all rolling pieces were calculated from real-time data and were dealt with method of exponential smoothing, and then, the obtained result was used as deformation resistance parameter of rolling pieces of this thickness range. In the process of the regression of deformation resistance parameter, high precision spring model was used to calculate the exit thick of each pass, the target thickness locking method and the inherited deviation method were used to deal with the calculated exit thickness, to ensure the accuracy of the regression treatment.
