Abstract
MT Transgenic Synechococcus sp. PCC7002 was used to adsorb the Zn2+ in industry waste water, according to the high affinity of metallothionein (MT) to heavy mental. The results showed that MT transgenic Synechococcus sp. PCC7002 could efficiently remove the Zn2+ from the waste water. The concentration of the Zn2+ in the waste water could be decreased from 3.931 mg/L to 2.245 mg/L in 0.5 min, to 1.811 mg/L in 5 min.
