Study on the noise distribution in high-speed railway coaches and the characteristics of noise reduction material

摘要
This paper analyzes distribution of noise measured in high-speed railway coaches. The figures of frequency spectrum show that the sound intensity level above the bogie is about 5 dB (A) higher than the centre of the car body in average. It is mainly due to wheel-rail noise. The main frequency band is 160Hz-1000Hz belonging to low and middle frequencies. According to the sound absorption performance test, the material made up of the plant cellulose and the open foaming material can be applied to the coaches. It is with the wider sound absorption frequency band and the better sound absorption performance, and can decrease noise and protect environment. © ASCE.
