Abstract
A method based on the phase difference between two adjacent range profiles is proposed to resolve the range ambiguity caused by the high Pulse repetition frequency (PRF) in stepped-frequency radar. This method does not need multiple PRFs so as to simplify the hardware implementation structure. In order to decrease the effects of target motion and noise on the phase difference, the method and process are given in the paper, and the simulations verify its validity.
