Functions and design of scheme of UHVDC test line

The main function of UHVDC test line was introduced, and the technic scenarios was put forward, including the length of test line, the configuration and function for the gantry tower, the anchor tower, the polarity-converting tower and the terminal tower, the selection and parameters for the size of draught conductor, jumping wire style, hardware, and insulator and other installations. The realization for different technic requirements during the design stage was expressed. The results show that the UHVDC test line can fully satisfy the function requirement, and the electromagnetic environment tests for single/double-circuits DC line at different voltages could be carried out below ±1200 kV. © 2008 Chin.
