Study On Influence Of Reservoir Water Impounding On Reservoir Landslide

After water impounding, hydrogeological condition in the reservoir area varies obviously and landslide stability is affected. Taking a reservoir in Southwest Hubei for example, general law of influence of reservoir water level on landslide stability is discussed. By use of push method, anti-shearing parameters, affection by water level variation and drainage factor is analyzed. Additionally, numerical simulation are adopted to analyze its sliding mode. It is showm that reservoir water impounding not noly influences landslide stability but also the failure mode, i.e. the that is to say, push mode will be substituted by drag mode.
