Abstract
This paper analyzes the impact response and breakage of double cylinder shell structure in the different depth by using of the software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. There is prestress in double cylinder shell structure under the static pressure in different depth. In this condition, the structure response will be different from that in the condition without static pressure in case of explosion. The characteristics of double cylinder shell structure's whole impact response and plasticity distortion or breakage of pressure tight hull have been analyzed. Base on certain detonator and its position, a conception of 'critical depth' has been introduced, which may lead to serious plasticity distortion or breakage of shell. And the relation between double cylinder shell structure's ability of resisting impact and different 'critical depth' is analyzed. By contrasting and calculating of these cases such as single, double synchronous and continuous attack, the relevant regularity has been summarized. It is concluded that there are different 'critical depths' which can cause the breakage of double cylinder shell structure in relevant cases whatever in single, double synchronous and continuous attack. It is significant to guide the research on submarine's ability of resisting impact.
