Study on chemical component changes in compatibility of Radix Bupleuri with Radix Paeoniae Rubra

Aim: To explore the chemical changes in compatibility of Radix Bupleuri with Radix Paeoniae Rubra. Method: HPLC was used to determine and to analyse the peak change of single and co-decoction. Result: Six peaks changed in content and one novel peak appeared after compatibility. Conclusion: Compatibility of traditional Chinese medicine doesn't mean adding single herb simply.
