Synthesis and characterization of mesoporous iron-doped TiO2

摘要
Mesoporous iron-doped TiO2 was prepared using glycerin as a pore-forming agent via sol-gel and hydrothermal processes. It was observed that hydrothermal treatment increased the thermal stability of the titania powders. It was found that UV-absorption range of the mesoporous titanium dioxide can be broadened to the visible region by iron doping. The results show that these mesoporous materials with anatnase can be applied in visible light-activated catalysis.
