Radar reflection characteristics analysis of multi-orientation iron fiber absorbing materials

The radar reflection characteristics of multi-orientation iron-fiber absorbing materials were analyzed by using the transmission matrix method. The numerical results show that when the single-oriented iron-fiber with strong anisotropic characteristics is bonded into a multiple-layer structure, the reflection characteristics of the multiple-layer absorbing materials is approximately isotropic, as long as the number of layers is thick (usually greater than 10). Also, the surface reflection behavior of the absorption materials can be represented by a parallel component of reflection coefficients. The results were further confirmed with the equivalent EM parameters and measured data.
