Abstract
According to the fluctuation of measured rolling force in different work conditions, the accuracy of rolling force model has reached expected value. The rolling force model on 2050 mm hot strip mill at Shanghai Baoshan Iron and Steel Co. has high accuracy. The κ-μ estimation method can improve rolling force estimation accuracy, and its most important effect is to realize self-adaption for forward-slip model. Dynamic setting AGC method not only can improve gauge control accuracy, but also can improve the self-adaption effect of gauge, gap and rolling force. Rolling piece stiffness (hardness of unit area) is used as the basic value of the improved rolling force model which is easy to be applied.
