Regulatory actions of endogenous ouabain in various forms of hypertensive rats

Endogenous ouabain is a hormone secreted from glomerular zone of adrenal cortex and has much physiological and pathological effect. Many experiments have shown that endogenous ouabain plays an important role in the development of hypertension. In this article we reviewed the changes of endogenous ouabain content in various hypertensive models and the mechanisms of blood pressure regulation of endogenous ouabain.
