Effect of kanglate injuction on cellular immunological function of tumor cachexia modeal
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin(1998)
Abstract
AIM: To investigate the change of cellular immunological function during cancer cachexia and the therapeutic effect of kanglaite (KLT) for the cachexia. METHODS: T739 murine model of cancer cachexia was established to observe the effect of KLT on the cellular immunological function of the mouse. RESULTS: KLT markedly decreased the serum TNF-α level of the mice and increased NK cell activity as well as promoted the spleen lymphocyte proliferation of the mouse. CONCLUSIONS: It is suggested that that KLT might have some effects on improving the impaired immune function of the mouse in cancer cachexia.
