Abstract
Detecting the DNA fingerprints of hairs and excrements collected from wild the clear and high distinctive patterns of Ailuropoda melanoleuca living in Yele of Mianning County of Sichuan Province were obtained. Such DNA fingerprints can achieve the goal of identifying individuals of giant pandas living in the wild. There are seven giant pandas in the wild population of Yele.
