Effect of rolling temperature on the textures of zircaloy-4 plate

The textures of Zr-4 plates rolled at temperatures from 300��C to 980��C were experimentally studied by employing the techniques of inverse pole figure and texture orientation factor. The results show that (1) in the alpha-phase temperature range, the texture is nearly invariable with the variation of rolling temperature, and the ratios of fn:ft:f1 are nearly 7:2:1, (2) in the ��+�� dual phase range, with the increase of rolling temperature, fn decreases while ft and f1 increase significantly; (3) the ratios reach 3:4:3 and the ft greater than 0.4 when the specimen is rolled at 940��C; (4) in the beta-phase range the ratios are about 3:3.6:3.4 when the specimen is rolled at 980��C.
