A primitive anteosaurid dinocephalin from China - Implications for the distribution of earliest therapsid faunas

Dinocephalian mammal-like reptiles have in the past been known only from Russia and South Africa. The recent discovery of anteosaurid dinocephalians in China has important implications for the biostratigraphic distribution of these early therapsids and has furthermore revealed additional autapomorphies of the Anteosauridae.
