Sol-gel preparation and characterization of ultrafine BaTiO and semiconducting BaTiO3 ceramics doped with Yttrium

The ultrafine barium titanates doped and undoped with yttrium were prepared by sol-gel method and characterized by chemical analysis and X-ray powder diffraction technique. The mechanism of the transformation processes from BaTiO3 dry gel to ultrafine BaTiO3 was investigated by means of TG-DTG-DTA and IR methods. Semiconducting Ceramics of Yttrium-doping BaTiO3 were made by general Ceramic procedure. The relationship between their resistivites at room temperature and yttrium contents and sintered temperatures were discussed.
