Abstract
In this paper according to the definition of excess molecular fraction, the relational expression of the degree of polymerization was derived. The relational expression can be used to calculate the degree of polymerization in polycondensation system and control the molecular weight of polymers. The correctness of equation was elucidated by examples. The equation is simple and easy to remember, so it has general significance in polycondensation.
