Numerical simulation on upward mining of N1E 2-3 coal seam in Daxing Mine

The law of plastic failure, subsidence and stress were simulated and analyzed for 2-3 coal seam up mining with the FLAC3D software combining with the N1E coal seam upward mining engineering in Daxing Mine of Tiefa Coal Industry Group Co. Ltd. The results show that the 4-2 coal seam is the main impact coal seam of the upward mining, the inhomogeneous deformation and stress concentration phenomenon of 2-3 coal seam is effectively improved with the application of working face inner crossing layout and the skip-mining method during the lower 4-2 and 7-2 coal seam mining, 2-3 coal seam was continuous after the lower two seam mined out, no loss or step sinking phenomenon appeared at 2-3 coal seam. The project of 2-3 coal seam upward mining is feasible.
