摘要
Gas and water patchy-saturation in heterogeneous natural gas reservoirs causes significant seismic velocity dispersion and attenuation. The Biot-Rayleigh double-porosity model is used here to describe the seismic properties of these reservoirs and design a multi-scale rock physics template that relates the wave responses at different scales to the lithology and pore fluids. This approach is applied to limestone reservoirs located at the right bank of Amu Darya river. By performing pre-stack inversion and using the template, gas saturation and porosity are estimated. © 2013 American Society of Civil Engineers.
