Low carbon generation dispatch considering static voltage stability

To satisfy the requirement of static voltage stability in generation dispatch based on low carbon, the impact of carbon catch system (CCS) on power supply from plant to grid was analyzed, and the upper and lower bounds of the operating power for CCS was deduced. Based on this, a low carbon based generation dispatch model considering static voltage stability was proposed, whereby the sum of generation cost and CO2 emission cost can be minimized while satisfying the constraints of operation and voltage stability. The proposed model, which coordinated the requirements of economic, environment and stability for generation scheduling by taking the cost of CO2 emission as connective ties, offered a practical method for decreasing the emission of CO2. The proposed model was solved by interior point method. The effectiveness of the proposed method was validated in IEEE 30-bus system and a practical power system. © 2013 Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering.
