Abstract
Centered on seismic technology, a multi-discipline software platform is built up in order to guide horizontal well drilling. This software platform integrates and analyzes multi-discipline data such as seismic, well drilling and logging, and enables to guide horizontal well drilling trajectory in real time. Specifically the software can predict geological anomalies, such as fault and lithological variation, revise geological model, and dynamically adjust drilling bit trajectory. It is very helpful for reducing drilling risks and increasing the reservoir drilling rate during the drilling process. This seismic centered multi-discipline software platform has successfully applied in a complex gas reservoir and a low-permeability clastic gas reservoir, which fully demonstrates the seismic prospect in oil-gas field development. On the other hand, the operation procedure and the technical standards of the technology are set up.
