Abstract
In 2008, the gas hydrate samples have been found in the drilling test in Qilian Mountain of Chinathis is the first gas hydrate which found in plateau permafrost of middle and low latitude all over the world. For studying the forming mechanism of gas hydrate, in 2010, we implemented the electromagnetic exploration test of gas hydrate in permafrost in Qilian Mountain of China. From the exploration test results, we know that the shallow formation owns high resistivity anomaly refers to the response of permafrost, the depth among 60 meters to 80 meters. The deep formation owns low resistivity anomaly which refers to the response of mudstone or fractured zone. We conclude the deposit formation patterns of gas hydrate refers to the permafrost and fractured zone, the gas migrated in the fractured zone and enriched as the cover of permafrost, and accumulated under appropriate temperature condition, this is the most important deposit formation patterns of gas hydrate in Qilian Mountain of China.
