Data mining in traditional chinese ophthalmologic formulae based on theory of structural partial-ordered attribute diagram

At present, data mining technology has been used in Biomedical Engineering. Because of the hugeness and complexity of data, it is difficult to study the compatibility of Chinese medicine formulae. Structural partial-ordered attribute diagram is a new method that is based on hierarchy optimized formal context to generate the hierarchy diagram. It is an information and knowledge visualization method. In this text, 50 traditional Chinese ophthalmologic formulae were chosen from the monograph of Renyu Fu, who is a famous ophthalmologist in Ming dynasty. By building the formal context of these prescriptions and generating the structural partial-ordered attribute diagram, the general rules and characteristics of traditional Chinese ophthalmologic formulae were discovered; special compatibility phenomenon and patterns worthy of further study were found. © 2013 ICIC International.
