Forming limit diagram and its application for Ti-6Al-4V alloy sheet at elevated temperature

In this study,the forming limit diagram(FLD) tests were carried out at 650℃,700℃ and 750℃,respectively.According to this FLD,a process of deep drawing was simulated by ABAQUS software to predict the defect of failure.The experiments were carried out to validate the FEM prediction.The results show that the forming limit curve(FLC) of Ti-6Al-4V developed with the temperature increasing,and the failure prediction model was useful to hot forming.
