Effect of rolling process on high cycle fatigue property of Ti-6A1-4V sheet
TI-2011: PROCEEDINGS OF THE 12TH WORLD CONFERENCE ON TITANIUM, VOL II(2012)
Abstract
Microstructure, tensile and high cycle fatigue (HCF) properties of 2. 0mm-thick Ti-6A1-4V sheets prepared with different rolling processes were investigated. The results show that a fine equiaxed microstructure can be obtained by cross rolling process, which exhibited apparent improvement of anisotropy of tensile properties and improved HCF performances. Tensile and HCF properties of Ti-6A1-4V sheet prepared by cross rolling process can meet the the specification of Ti-6A1-4V sheet established for use in aircraft engines.
